Blairgowrie Paths Network

A choice of five waymarked walks, covering a total of 20 miles/ 33 km, to take you through some of the lovely countryside in and around Blairgowrie.

An ancient drove road leads you through Drimmie Woods, whilst spring in the Bluebell Woods is a sight to behold.

Alternatively you can follow the winding course of the River Ericht, past old mills and raspberry fields.

Easy to moderate-going walks.

BIG TREE COUNTRY WALKS

Follow the drovers: Drimmie Wood

This wood is on high ground to the north of Blairgowrie, so there is a great prospect up Glen Shee from the start and later on wide views over Strathmore.

The waymarked route follows an ancient drove road through a plantation, past a pond and on through the mixed woodlands of West Tullyfergus.

It’s very peaceful, with just the sound of birdsong and wind in the trees.

Practicalities: Start from the Drimmie car park; take the A93 from Blairgowrie and turn right at a sign for Drimmie. Go over a crossroads and continue uphill for 2 miles.
