In and around the ‘Fair City’ of Perth, the largest town in Perthshire Big Tree Country, there is a host of sites awaiting discovery.

Home to one of Scotland’s revered plant hunters, the area commemorates his talent and vision.

Swathed in history, step back in time as you follow part of the ancient coronation road used by Scottish kings throughout the ages.

You can’t fail to notice the highest beech hedge in the world on the road between Perth and Blairgowrie. Its at its most spectacular in autumn.

Visible for miles, one of the most iconic sights in the area, inspired by 19th century castles on the Rhine, overlooks the town.
