Olympic Gold Medallist and female role model, Victoria Pendleton (CBE), was joined on Sunday by over 600 women at Cycletta Cheshire, as she got the first of this year’s Cycletta events into first gear ahead of the first Cycletta Scotland event which comes to Perth on 15th September.

Forestry Commission Scotland is advising Perth residents that forest thinning operations at Kinnoull Hill will start at the beginning of June 2013.
The proposed works could take up to three months to complete and will mean that access to some parts of the woodland on the hill will be restricted, or subject to diversions.

A talented young Scottish cyclist aiming for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games has won the 2014 Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia, challenging the course record which was set by former Endura Racing rider and fellow Scotsman Evan Oliphant in 2011.
Tom Arnstein, who is 18 years old and lives in Glasgow, was just one minute outside the course record of 3.27:32, set by Oliphant when he was 29 years of age.

An ambitious attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest cycle across Europe will get into first gear this Sunday at the forthcoming Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia in Pitlochry.
