A self employed person required for a part time contract working on their own for the Carse of Gowrie Group. The work entails liasing with local community groups on landscape, access and heritage projects and to organise related events. This job would be a stand alone position and candidates will be required to hit the ground running as this year's 2-day Orchard Festival is in late September. The role will require approximately an average of 12 hours per week for 6 months initially with hope for future funding. An initial £6000 is available.The closing date for applications is 11/7/2012 and interviews will be on 16/7/2012.

Job Description
The Carse of Gowrie Group (CoGG) is seeking the delivery of a fixed term contract over the next 6 months to facilitate the development of projects suitable for inclusion and delivery under the HLF funded Tay Landscape Partnership due to start in Spring 2013. Applications are sought from anyone with suitable background and experience in project development and delivery in the land-based sector and/or with communities. The successful applicant will be employed by the Carse of Gowrie Group on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible after interview.
Job Specification:
To encourage the development and submission of local projects from the wider Carse communities suitable for inclusion in the Tay Landscape Partnership Project due to start in Spring 2013
Liaising with communities and landowners on possible land-based projects
Support any existing groups within the Carse area to develop suitable projects and specifically to support the Carse of Gowrie Group (CoGG) and the Historic Orchard Forum
Liaise with other local groups, individuals and businesses in pursuit of developing high quality projects within the Carse suitable for inclusion within the Tay Landscape Partnership
Personal Specification:
Essential:
Good communicators with a proven track record in developing and delivering land-based and/or community projects within identified timescales and budgets
Experience in a range of funding streams including HLF funding
Excellent oral, presentation and report writing skills
Good time management skills, capable of working with minimal guidance, either on their own or as part of a wider group.
Reflecting the nature of the contract, an element of evening and weekend working should be anticipated
Desirable:
Local knowledge of Carse communities, landowners, business and groups
Knowledge of local cultural heritage, access and environmental issues relevant to the Carse area
A good understanding of HLF landscape partnerships and specifically the objective of the Tay Landscape Partnership
Application:
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will deliver an average of 12 or more hours per week pro-rata over the contract period although applications will be based on a combination of experience and value for money
The work will be delivered on a contract basis; applicants must demonstrate that they hold appropriate professional insurances and that they can deliver the contract on time and on budget
The contract value is fixed at £6,000 and any applicants will have to demonstrate that they can deliver the contract inclusive of VAT.
