Glen Lednock

A circular walk around a peaceful glen near Comrie.

The 4 miles/ 6.5 km route takes you through both mixed and conifer woodland and past the Deil’s Cauldron (Devil’s Kettle) waterfall.

The waterfall is believed to be the haunt of a brownie or water elf who entices unsuspecting victims down into the huge natural pothole.

There is an optional detour to the Melville Monument where a short steep climb is rewarded by sweeping views across Strathearn.

Walks are easy to moderate. A paths leaflet is available from local shops.

Off the minor Glen Lednock Road, north of Comrie.

There is some car parking near the site.

Visit all year round.

Take the bus from Crieff to Comrie.
